District Governor-Elect  Jane McClenahan

       Jane first joined Rotary in 1988, inspired by attending Rotary International conventions in Munich and Philadelphia with her husband Jack.

    She is Past President of the Rotary Club of Ojai-West, which became a 100% Paul Harris Fellow Club under her leadership. 

     She had previously chaired the popular Ojai Wine Festival, which raises $30,000 to $50,000 annually for Ojai-West community and international projects. 

  

         Always dedicated to the cause of polio eradication, she participated in a National Immunization Day in India with PDG Otto Austell in the year 2000.

     While Ojai-West president, Jane organized PDG Brenda Cressey’s “Banners to Banish Polio” program for the 2002 District conference. Serving as Executive Assistant Governor for Jan Lindsay’s DGE year 2003-04 and DG year 2004-05, she organized and helped conduct all the major training events for Jan’s class of Centennial presidents, including the Presidents-Elect Retreat, District Mid-Terms, some PETS sessions, and the District Assembly. Jane also served on the 2004 District Conference Cruise Committee. 

    Jane is a PRLS and Master PRLS graduate, and has received numerous club, district, and RI awards and citations, including the Four Avenues of Service Award. Jane and Jack ( 2005-2006 president of  Rotary Club of Ojai-West ) are both multiple Paul Harris Fellows, contributors to the Rotary Club of Ojai-West Foundation, and Major Donors to the Permanent Fund of The Rotary Foundation.

    Professionally, Jane is Executive Director of the Ojai Valley Museum, Ojai’s community museum of history and art. 

    Jane and Jack have been married for 40 years.  They have three grown daughters and six grandchildren.
