for District 5240 Rotarians on Registration, Please
read this information for an overview and pencil out a plan of activities before
ordering tickets. First
Step:
Click
HERE to register for the Convention online.
This information/registration form is also where you will order tickets
for RI Ticketed Events. There is a separate process for Host Committee Ticketed
Events. See below. The form asks
for Main Registrants Membership ID. Ask
your club secretary or look on the mailing label of your Rotarian magazine. Your
ID # is the 7-8 digit # on the second line. Your Guest Registration info goes on
page 2; if your spouse/partner/guest is a Rotarian, their member # is not
required. Below is an illustration of the costs for a couple registering for the convention and ordering tickets (on the same form) for selected RI Ticketed events:
Second Step: Reserve your hotel room. Many have already reserved one of the 70 rooms we blocked in our D5240 headquarters hotel, The Little America Hotel & Towers. That block is sold out. Please check with Kathy Hill 805-987-2940 to see if something has opened up due to a cancellation. She can add you to the waiting list; or you can also request a room at other hotels in all price ranges through the conventions central online/mail/fax booking process. For that information and form, Click HERE.
Third
Step:
Order Host Committee Ticketed Events.
See event descriptions and pricing on pages 3-4 of this document before Clicking
HERE to order online.
Fourth
Step:
Other Ticketed Events and Recommended Activities.

West RI Zones 23/24 (includes D5240) will have a welcome reception Saturday,
July 16, most likely from 5-7 pm. We
will probably sell tickets at PETS and the District Assemblies. DGE Jane McClenahan, EAG Stewart Fries, and Ojai-West President-Elect Paul Blatz will be inviting D5240 Rotarians, families, and guests to smaller receptions in hospitality suites we have booked in the Grand America Hotel, across the street from the Little America Hotel & Towers.
Fifth Step: Pre-Convention or Post-Convention Tours and Travel. The Salt Lake City Convention Host Organization Committee has 3-day, 2-night coach tours through Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Jackson before and after the convention. They have tours to other Utah National Parks and day tours to attractions around Salt Lake.
